Knee Replacement in Canton

Thank you Canton, for welcoming Great Lakes Orthopedics to your vibrant community of Canton, and we look forward to contribute our extensive expertise in shoulder surgery and knee surgery to the people of Canton. Sports injuries are a way of life to many of us, especially in a vibrant and active community like Canton. Most sports injuries affect two joints in particular; the knee and the shoulder.

We at Great Lakes Orthopedics Canton take great pride in being the absolute best in diagnosing and treating problems with these two targeted joints. Due to their dynamic nature, sports injuries require specialized methods of treatment; whether you’re a weekend warrior or a high school, college or professional athlete.

you need to see a doctor with the highest level of training and experience in sports medicine available in your community. Our shoulder surgeons and knee surgeons at Great Lakes Orthopedics Canton take a team approach in helping you return to your favorite sports and activities.

We are trained in the treatment and care of sports-related injuries and conditions such as torn ligaments, torn cartilage, joint instability, muscle weakness, sprains, fractures, and joint degradation due to arthritis. The demand we place on our joints can result in severe joint pain and discomfort, and joint replacement may be the only viable solution to permanently reducing or eliminating joint pain.

Of course a total joint replacement is a last resort if there is some integrity to the damaged joint. Regardless, our team of skilled shoulder and knee surgeons at Great Lakes Orthopedics in Canton will quickly diagnose the condition and then present you with available options in plain English. Annually in the United States, more than 13 million people seek medical care for shoulder problems.

As the most movable joint in the body, the shoulder can also be the most unstable. Unlike a true ball-and-socket joint, such as the hip, the shoulder sits like a golf ball on a tee, which makes it very dependent on the surrounding ligaments, muscles and tendons to hold it in place and stable. Given that the ball of the upper arm is larger than the shoulder socket that holds it, the shoulder joint is easily injured.

This office is driven by $$$$ not patient care. I guess my first clue should have been when they required payment in full prior to surgery. I had several surgeries done by Dr. Drouillard, but this last one, total right hip replacement, disabled me for life. The hip dislocated 4 times from 11/2019 to 5/2020. In June 2020, he did another surgery to put in a constraint liner to keep it from dislocating. I complained for 2 years of pain in the hip, but he just said it was tendonitis or bursitis, and shot me up with steroids every 6 weeks. Once I hit the 2 year mark, he referred me out to U of M, but wouldn't help me get the appointment. Basically, washed his hands of me once we passed the statue of limitations for a malpractice suit. Turns out the hip was infected and the replacement had to be removed. I currently have a spacer in the right hip. My new orthopedic has told me I will never walk unassisted again. Beware!!!
The ex ray tech was the best. She handled ALL of my bones with care. If you need a ex ray I would go see her
Response from the owner:We're over the moon to hear that you had such a comforting experience with our X-ray tech! 💫 She really is a bone-keeper, and our team is all about ensuring everyone leaves with a smile. We can't wait to welcome you back, so why not share the love and bring along a friend in need of our care? 😊
I fell and broke my ankle, heel and leg bones away from the ankle. I went to Garden City Hospital via ambulance. I went in for surgery that day. Dr. Lawley did an amazing job! Everything is straight as can be. I’m walking again (with a Velcro brace) just less than 4 months after surgery. And, I have a tattoo around my ankle (one of a kind) Dr. Lawley put it back together and it’s perfect. The staff is excellent and extremely friendly. I would recommend them to everyone. I never waited a long time and always very kind and caring staff.
Response from the owner:That's fantastic news! It sounds like Dr. Lawley and the entire staff at Great Lakes Orthopaedics provided exceptional care throughout your recovery. We're thrilled to hear about your positive outcome and that you're back on your feet so quickly after such a significant injury. Thank you for sharing your experience and recommending them to others!
Dr. Drouillard recently did a revision on my knee replacement. He and the residents were great at easing my anxiety. This was my third time having a replacement and I was very , very scared. They no longer make my original implant so the whole thing was redone. After 6 weeks I am walking on my own and have so much less pain thanks to Dr. Drouillard. Really pleasant staff also from check in to check out!
Response from the owner:Thank you for sharing your experience! It's wonderful to hear that Dr. Drouillard and his team were able to ease your anxiety and provide excellent care during your knee replacement revision.
Scam office. I had a small fracture, and I have health insurance with a $50 specialist copay. The office billed me an amount higher than multiple specialist copays as part of a "90-day fracture package" and gave me no choice nor notice how expensive this would be. Even my insurance company was baffled at their billing. Don't go here unless you want to get ripped off.
Response from the owner:I'm sorry to hear about your frustrating experience with the billing at the office. It sounds like there was a lack of clarity and communication regarding the costs associated with the "90-day fracture package." It's crucial for providers to adhere to legal requirements and ensure transparency in billing practices. Please reach out to the office manager so this can be further investigated.
Very nice staff all the way around and the Dr’s really listen to you.
Response from the owner:Thank you for the wonderful 5-star review! We're delighted to hear that you had such a positive experience with our staff and doctors. Providing attentive care and ensuring our patients feel heard are top priorities for us. Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and we're grateful for the opportunity to serve you. If you ever need anything in the future, please don't hesitate to reach out. Thank you for choosing us for your orthopedic needs.
Dr. Doig Had to perform Surgery on my Left Leg and my Left Ankle with a Right Rod in my Right Leg. And A Special Ankle Plate for my Right Ankle. On October 16, 2016. After a Severe Fall.
Dr. Timothy Doig Did an Outstanding Job!
I am doing great now!
